Region of white Lipizzaner horses, stone villages, caves, bora winds, prsut, and Teran wine. Skocjan Caves UNESCO World Heritage (1986). Over 8,000 caves in Slovenia.
Program
We visit the Skocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986 - home to the largest underground canyons in the world. Then we continue to the Lipica Stud Farm, established in 1578 by Archduke Charles, where the famous white Lipizzaner horses are bred. Optional carriage ride available. We enjoy a traditional Karst lunch with prsut (dry-cured ham) and Teran wine. Finally, we visit the medieval village of Stanjel with the Church of St. Daniel and the Ferrari Garden.
